Booking & Cancellation Policy

Making a booking

Appointments can be booked and paid for online. A booking is confirmed only once payment has been successfully processed and you receive a confirmation email.

While you complete checkout, your chosen time is held for a short period (currently 15 minutes). If payment is not completed within that time the hold is released.

Online bookings can be made up to 8 weeks ahead and close the day before the appointment. For a same-day appointment, please call to check availability. Bookings for more than five horses, or for properties more than about 1.5 hours' drive from Newcastle, are confirmed by James before they are booked.

Deposits and balance

A $50 deposit is taken when you book. The balance is payable on the day of the appointment by cash or card, at Saddle Side's discretion.

The person making the booking must be the owner of the horse(s) or authorised by the owner to book and consent to treatment.

All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.

Rescheduling and cancelling

You may reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your appointment using the link in your confirmation email, or by contacting us.

If you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours of the appointment, the deposit is retained. We may waive this at our discretion, for example where your horse is unwell and your vet has advised against treatment.

If we need to change your appointment

Occasionally we may need to reschedule because of illness, severe weather, unsafe conditions or emergencies. We'll contact you as early as possible and offer a new time or a full refund of any amount paid.

On the day

Please have your horse caught, clean and dry, with a capable handler present and a safe, level area to work in. If conditions are unsafe for the horse, handler or practitioner, the appointment may be shortened or rescheduled.

If on assessment your horse appears to need veterinary attention, James may recommend you see your vet before any chiropractic treatment. In that case, if no treatment is given, only the deposit is charged.
